In 2014, I used this product in a hotel in Berlin. I brought some home with me to the United States, and have been looking for more, off and on, since then. I was in Berlin again in 2023 and 2024, but couldn't find it - though we didn't stay in the same hotel as in 2014.
I found it for sale from BodyenSpa, a Dutch company. I contacted them about ordering some. The conversation started well, but basically disintegrated after that.
(July 14, 2025) They answered my email, and told me they offer international shipping, including to the U.S. The cost to me would be €21.95, but any over over €100 would be free.
Great! I wrote them to thank them, and they responded again that yes, this was accurate information, and to let them know if I needed help.
(July 17, 2025) I wrote them again, explaining that the United States was not on their list of available countries to ship to. They responded, and said that the USA could be arranged as a special delivery (highlighted), and that the shipping charge would be 20 EUR. They asked me to confirm that this was acceptable, and I told them that this would be fine.
(July 24, 2025) They wrote me back, and now said that they were waiting for confirmation from their "relevant" team. They asked for patience, and said they would get back to me. Again, I replied that this would be fine.
(August 18, 2025) I wrote them back, after having heard nothing for nearly a month. This time, they chose not to respond.
(September 11, 2025) I wrote them again. Again, nothing.
I finally ordered the shampoo, and had it sent to a friend in the UK. He received it, and is in the process of forwarding the shipment to me. So, I don't have the product yet, but I don't expect a problem with the shampoo.
However - this is no way to do business. Body & Spa's story kept changing. First yes, they ship to the USA. And it's free for orders over 100 EUR. Then, well, they ship to the USA, but there's a 20 EUR charge. Then, well, it's a special delivery, and then - nothing? Even if they figured they could no longer ship it to me (tariffs?), the least they could do was have the decency to let me know. I communicated very nicely over a 2-month period, and wasn't ultimately shown the respect of them having answered my last two emails.
This is fantastic product, there is no question. But I am also in business, and I would never conduct myself this way. Even when I have to tell prospective customers difficult answers, they always get my attention. I don't have a lot of options about buying this shampoo, and luckily, I ordered a case of it, so my hair will probably be gone before I can use it all. And if I ever want more, I will probably have no choice but to go through this ordeal again. But no, I wouldn't recommend this company, at least in the way they handled themselves with me. I'm very sorry about the relations between the United States and Europe - it doesn't make it easier for us in the USA, either. I grew up in Germany, and I love Europe and my European neighbors. I would just ask for a little more professionalism, next time.
